#7 Tampa Bay at the Skyway South Pier, & Ballast Point Pier May 3
Such a huge Harbor with many ports within and many different concerns to pray for. The location at the south pier of the Skyway is truly the gateway to this this massive bay we can see the Skyway, Tampa, and Port Manatee known for human trafficking. Intercessor Mary prayed several locations on the north side including Ballast Pier, shipping channel and cruise port – at the same time we were out, which is a great strategic placement for a large gateway. Also intercessor Nancy gathered a team praying as we were out. Powerful. This is one of the locations we could really feel the weight of the battle and many who had intended to be there were kept away by serious interference from the enemy. Keena was the only one to join us at the South Pier. One intercessor told her that as the state leader it was powerful for her to be at Tampa Bay, and we definitely felt that too.
After the event (declarations, communion and worship) – Rick, Doreen and I all felt that we were not done. We also felt we should move to the other side, the other picnic table… Doreen and I sang for another hour or so, a couple lingered there eating lunch and thanked us for the music. As Rick was putting his cross on the top on the car (it was packed in the ski bag) with just the one wheel sticking out and a man passing by asked -what is that wheel? Well, Rick got to share the gospel with him. he ended up cancelling a meeting to stay and talk, we prayed over him for healing of a very difficult personal tragedy. He cried and over and over said he felt different… we kept talking and Doreen pressed in and asked if he had ever received Jesus. He said no, she asked if he wanted to pray to receive and he said YES. He was Muslim who had joined a Protestant church in order to marry his wife. We prayed with him to receive Christ and he wept. It was so awesome and the first salvation of the 22 gateways journey – HalleluYAH!
Mighty blessings over Tampa Bay!
Praise God! I can’t wait to worship and pray here again.
Yes, and it all began with you right at South Pier! You picked the spot back in October 22 – I’m so grateful we went out that day. we worshiped deeply for an hour while others were at the north side same time. Very powerful. It was my first day out like that and i was quite overcome as you might remember. Love you!
